Fried Venison and Hashbrown Casserole

Had a coupla russet potatoes looking lonely on the counter, so I gave them some lovin' last night. Peeled them, shredded them up and put them in a bowl of ice water to remove the starchiness.  Then drained them and added a little buttermilk & mayo (didn't have any creamed soup in the pantry), gruyere, cheddar, parmesan, S&P and Caribeque Island Thyme.  Baked indirect in a CI skillet at 360ish for about 45 min.  Turned out great. The buttermilk and mayo worked well and the cheese combo was killer.  @Nuke1855 's island thyme added a great flavor too (promise I'm not affiliated with the company...I just really like his seasonings... lol).

Sorry, no egged pics.  Too dark outside.

The venison cubed steak was dredged in buttermilk and breadcrumbs and fried inside.
