Igrill 2 and stick burner

So this past weekend I cooked 140 pounds of eye round for the local little league bull and oyster roast. Decided there was no time like then to break out the 4 probe igrill 2 I had bought and play with it. Overall I liked how it works and all the info it will give you. BUT I have a few questions...
1. Can I retrieve the cook data after the unit was shut off? Or does it need to be set to your email before the cook is completed?
2. Is there anyway to hook the Bluetooth to a router so I could be farther away from the smoker?
Here are are a few pictures

I have the iGrill2. I have not yet figured out how to retrieve data after the unit is turned off.Southeast Florida - LBGE
In cooking, often we implement steps for which we have no explanations other than ‘that’s what everybody else does’ or ‘that’s what I have been told.’ Dare to think for yourself. -
I found a manual online last night and looked through it. It did not talk about retreating data. So I'm lead to believe once it's shut off you are done.

drop a line to the folks over at IDevices..... they can help you out with that kind of info.

I've experienced that "gotcha" several times.
... Remembering the second after removing the probes that I just lost all the cook data. GAH!

That's sucks. There needs to be some way to store the data for at least a short period of time.

You can export the data. You just need to remember to do so before shutting down the unit.Southeast Florida - LBGE

@jtcBoynton Yes I have now learned that the hard way. There is nothing really in the manual to explain that you need to export before you shut down. It would be nice if the app or your phone could compile the data for you and you could compare different cooks.

Not only before it's turned off... but before you disconnect the bluetooth from your phone or tablet or whatever you're using.jtcBoynton said:I have the iGrill2. I have not yet figured out how to retrieve data after the unit is turned off.BGE XL- Tomball, TX
