You ever feel like throwing in the towel? Things have got to turn around here in AR. In the past 3 weeks we had to replace our dryer, dishwasher and had the garage door repaired. Last night I stepped out to the patio to grab a couple of cold beers to enjoy. Open the refrigerator door to find the temp at 65 degrees. Bad part about it, since it was on the patio I had about a dozen different sauces I had been sampling in it. Oh well to the trash can they go.

All this stuff can be replaced my man.

I had a rough patch of life last year and still dealing with it.  I wished I could through $2,000 to bring it back, but cannot.

Thank the stars for waking up today.
I agree!  Seems like things used to be a lot simpler.

It can always be worst. These are small things in the scope of life. Concentrate on the good things: Everyone in your family is healthy, you have food for the table, a roof over your head, a way to support your family.....

@Thatgrimguy - Dude I'm so sorry to hear this. Thanks for sharing. I hope everything works out for you and your family.

I'm thinking I may have used the wrong phrase when I said throw in the towel. I was just thinking that in our early adult life my wife and I didn't have so much and it seems like a lot less went wrong.

Just seems like like everytime we turn around someone punches us in the gut. Ready for some good karma.

I was going to lament my expensive car and appliance issues in December, but never mind.  Enough great perspective from others.  Rough patches correct themselves eventually, just keep working the problem.
    Love you bro!

No matter how much we prepare, life has a way to inform us that we are not always in charge. The older I get, the more this statement rings true. Just keep at it and things will eventually, lords willing, correct themselves.

Man, I feel you. I have had the hardest last 3 years of my life. I've spent 3 years in court watching my family destroy each other and our business. I've lost my Mother, my Sister and my Brother. My father died Feb 18, 2013. Since that day I have spent over $250,000 (well. I owe, I haven't been able to actually pay this) on lawyers just trying to keep our companies and 123 employees afloat. My Mother thinks she won the lottery and pulled out more money than we have made in a decade within 6 months of my fathers death and was looking for more. In the process of stopping that the rest of my family has turned on each other. Everyone wants "more".  I just want it over. During this time I had a baby. My sister nor my mother have ever even asked to see her.  She took her first steps the night before the 3 year anniversary of my dads death. Those are the things that keep me from throwing in the towel. That girl depends on me to make the right choices and continue to try and bring everyone together while keeping the business afloat.  I'll continue to live whether I fight or I quit. I'd rather live with myself having fought.
Brother, I don't "know you like this", but in my network of friends, we hug and we tell each other we love them.  Hell, sometimes there is a kiss on the cheek, but these are the instances that will test you.  I'd give you a big hug if I could brother.  I'll not do the other things, yet.  :)

Hey, @Jarc . We all feel ya', but as others have said:  It gets better.  Much.

My wife and I were young once (Now, if we pass gas, bystanders better have dust masks.),
and we endured our share of setbacks.  Sometimes more than our share, it seemed.

Thing is, you will look back at that crap and laugh.  Believe it or not, you two will actually be glad you went through it.
    Honest.

It was before your time, but a poster here once 'used the wrong phrase word':
    "Devastated".

    It wasn't pretty.

Death always brings out the worst in people. Unfortunately, our family hasn't escaped that reality either. @Thatgrimguy thanks for sharing. I know that wasn't easy.

@northGAcock Thank you so much for the very kind offer.

How about we maybe exchange local sauces? Really you just taking the time to read and acknowledge my rant means a lot to me.
