First SRF Cook!!! Kobe burgers, my heart and stomach are full

Made my first Snake River Farms purchase today. We absolutely loved our burgers.

Tried reverse searing our burgers. Got the egg to 275 with natural lump and applewood chunks and had my half moon cast iron grill on the grate to warm up.

I put the burgers unseasoned on the SS grate directly with the convector removed and flipped them after 10 minutes. About 5-7 minutes later their temperature got to 110 degrees internal so I pulled them off and let them rest indoors. I put Montreal steak seasoning on the burgers while they rested.

I cranked the temp up to 450 and then put the burgers on the cast iron. Had a great sizzle, it's my first time trying it since I just got it for Vday (great wife, she got me the CyberQ too). Had it on the cast iron for 2 minutes on each side and had a great crust and got to 135 on each burger.

I took the burgers off and put gluten free buns (family gluten sensitivity) on the cast iron with some butter on them. Had a great mix of the grease and butter for a good toasting bun. Only had them off for a few minutes and they were ready.

Absolutely loved the burgers, had a great smokey flavor and just it was a burger that I just wanted to savor. The level of burger you just can't find in a restaurant.

Can't wait to try to reverse sear some prime filets we picked up at whole foods tomorrow night for dinner. I'm a fan of my first reverse sear try even though it was on burgers!
