How do you clean your smokeware cap?

Oven cleaner first. Bartendar's Helper to finish up ... although it'll just get dirty again, so this might be a little OCD.
Or, if you're single, then the dishwasher will work. Pull it when it's finished and still hot then the Bartender's Helper will really clean off the crud.

Hmm, did you mean Bar Keepers Friend?
I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

Yep, I did ... thanks!
I googled Bartender's Helper and Bar Keepers Friend came up ... didn't double check.

Love that stuff! And don't let anyone tell you Bon Ami is just as good. No way.

This is what I use. Spray on liberally and gunk begins breaking down immediately. Give it about 30 seconds, then rinse:
Depending on buildup, you may have to reapply, and lightly scour. What I've noticed is don't let the cap go too long between cleanings...or is can be a challenge getting everything off. I don't go more than 2 cooks without cleaning. Beef...It's what's for dinner tonight. -
It's stainless. It won't rust. Just soak it.

This will make it just like new, spray on, let it sit in your dry sink for 15minutes, re-apply 15 minutes rinse w/warm water.

Not trying to start anything here, but I kinda figured with all the praise I've heard about those things, they would have some kind of self-cleaning feature. Cleaners, solvents, brushing? Besides the expense, sounds like another reason for this cheap egger to stay with my old daisy wheels. Never have to do anything with them but put em in the egg when finished.
