Recipe for Basting while cooking

Ok I'm new to the whole BGE experience but I thought I'd share my grandfathers recipe to use on Ribs, (beef or pork), and chicken. Its simple and fast and the meat is oh so tender. when i use it on ribs I baste the ribs while they are cooking. if you try it let me know how it turns out

1 Cup of apple vinegar
1 cup of veggie oil (Olive oil doesn't work as well)
1 stick of butter (salted)
1 med onion

in a sauce pan add the stick of butter and diced onion, cook this on low heat. after the onions are translucent add the vinegar and oil. remain on low heat for about 15-20 mins. stir occasionally to ensure the onion doesn't burn. remove from heat and bast your meat while it's cooking.

Hope you enjoy it.
