DigiQ DX IIExperience

Finally did what many have already done.......purchased a pit/temp controller. In particular the DigiQ DX II. Conducted literally hours of research. So here's my initial experience with this gizmo. Really nothing "new" from what's already been reported.
First they're expensive!!! Mine came in @ $375 w/tax through local BGE dealer.
Second VERY EASY to set up and use.
Third my dome temp (a Tel Tru BGE gauge, calibrated via boiling water method) reads approx 25 degrees HIGHER than the grid probe.
Fourth I'm doing a side by side experiment with my Redi Chek device. Currently I'm cooking ribs so I only have the smoker probe in use. I conducted a calibration test via boiling water with the Redi Chek probe and found it within 1 degree of boiling temp. So far the Redi Chek came as close as 4 degrees with the DigiQ and as far off as 9 degrees. The probes are approx 1" apart.
Initial conclusion......Satisfied!!! My cooking temps have stabilized as hoped for.
