Old kamado for sale in NJ...

It's not for me. But it is $75, and I know there are folks here into this stuff.

Can anyone tell me what it is, and how old it is?

It looks like the finish is wearing off and that's clay underneath.  So I would guess Imperial Kamado from the late 70's or early 80's.  But it looks like someone put on a modern BGE handle/hinge.  That's not what the Imperial handles (or imitators) looked like originally.

$75 seems like a fair price if the internal parts are useable.  You can find interchangeable parts from BGE's, they'll just cost you an arm and a leg.  I had one like that were the firebox was just crumbling and not stable.  Ended up buying a firebox from a BGE store and it fit properly.  Just cost me $225 or so.  Worked great for low temp cooks.  I didn't trust it above 350 or so.  Ended up selling it on craigslist.
