Custom Cover for Green Egg Table

Has anyone had any luck with making a custom cover for their Green Egg tables? I made a custom table over the weekend and am needing a cover for it with our harsh winters here in ND. Does anyone have any suggestions on fabric? I have a mother that loves to sew so that'll be the easy part. I did a search for forums but wasn't getting any results. Thanks!

If you want a huge selection of patterns and a for-life top, look at Sunbrella material. Sold through sailrite.com.  Fair warning, the price will give you pause.

I went with this about 7 years ago.  Cover still looks great other than being a bit dirty.  It survives MN winters and summers just fine.  I actually bought the seconds (you have to dig a bit to find them on the website).  Make sure you have some good polyester thread too (also available through Rochford).  And a strong enough sewing machine with a large enough needle to handle it.  I use a 1951 Singer 201.  It has gotten me through about 50 yards of the Top Notch material for various covers, bags, tarps, etc.  The 1 pound spool of T90 polyester thread still looks brand new as well.

Funny you ask. I have an appointment with a representative from the local tent and awning company to measure / spec and quote a custom cover. I had some preliminary discussions with the rep and based on my needs (south...hot and humid) he recommended sunbrella material. That also gives you a lot of options with colors and patterns as Jeepster stated above.
