I'm confused - so "tailor" is now an offensive term around here?

Yesterday I posted a link that intel is looking into the fact that the suicide vests worn in Paris were sewn with great care by a talented tailor. There were a couple posts in reply and now I see that whole thread has been deleted by the moderators! Will someone please tell me what was so offensive in that thread when they have left the other thread with 5K views plus 300+ replies filled with hate, vulgarity and bravo that isn't as offensive as tailor-talk? geeeez!

    That's not the one he is talking about, John.

    He had one saying that the crazy terrorist cowards are using vests that are custom made to individuals that require very detailed work.  Not something that everyday joe can do with a singer sewing machine from WalMart.

    Hey man. You guys are all telling everybody what is and isn't correct about all sorts of complicated stuff

    i just thought i'd clarify actual factual information. Sorry to hurt your feelings. It's just I'm too dumb to second guess the world's leaders. So i hafta stick with simple stuff. 

    my thinking was that since you all solved the crisis, we should clean up the rough draft in anticipation of the thread being cited and/or published in the Journal of Diplomacy.

    when laying down the law and telling us what we, the world, our president, congress, etc is doing wrong, a person should take pains to get the language right. Otherwise their brilliant message may be dismissed. 

    I'm not smart enough to solve the Middle East crisis like you guys. So I thought i'd try to help w/r/t spelling simple words. About all i can handle

    Nothing that you posted! Some of the comments that followed were far more offensive than my using and misspelling "schmuck" which I used to describe what I feel were brain washed persons who killed innocent people in Paris.
