My $34 fix for a Nighttime Table Lite

Recently there was a discussion about having some light on the Egg table for evening cooks.  That one started me thinking.

So I was in Home Depot yesterday and they had this 5 lite floor lamp on sale for $34.  It has a switch that will lite 2 or 3 or 5 of the lites.  I took the base off and drilled a small hole through the back of the table and secured it with SS washers and nuts from under the table.  I won't have to worry about the weather as I pull my table back under cover til I cook and then roll it out a few feet into the open.  The lamp called for 60 watt bulbs and I am using 60 watt equivalent LEDs.  Total I have 300 watts of lite if I need it.

Plugged it in last night and my whole outdoor kitchen is well lit from this lite.  With domes open I get plenty of light inside the eggs as well.

Just thought I would pass along how I solved my nighttime lite problem.  My wife says she likes the way it looks, simple lines and not bulky.

Very nice! I'm not crazy about the idea of having a plug and wire, but that's because my dog would chew it off before I plugged it in.

looks great, and I love cheap and easy solutions !

I put a hook under the table to hold the coiled wire when the table is not in use. Makes the table easier to roll in and out.  We have a few dogs too, but they are not allowed on the back porch because they have no manners out there.  And yes they might chew the wire as well. Then again they may only chew it once if it were plugged in.

@Sonny3 you might be on to something there... Although they say Pavlov's method of training dogs is flawless... I'm convinced he never trained boxers
