While vacationing in north Ga last week....4 of us decided to stop by and try it out....figured it should be pretty good Q with Mixon involved.....got there right at opening time...asked for ribs....they didn't have any that day...WTF? ....settled on pulled pork & chicken...bland tasting, no smoke flavor at all...tasted like it was cooked in conventional oven...pork out of a can would be better....guess Miran just sold his name and doesn't oversee the actual cooking...really disappointed 

On the other hand while in Mountain City...stopped at Scooter's BBQ...was exactly what we were expecting...great Q and all sides made from scratch.....

Was at the Carlsbad Street Fair yesterday and did the 'food walk'.   Several BBQ places but NO fire, just gas grilling or reheating.  Wife bought a BBQ samich and while it was OK, similar complaint as 55drum, above.   Where's the smoke?

I visited the location in Braselton.  I asked the girl at the counter if Myron was in today? She responded, "who?"  Zero smoke & zero flavor. Apparently, Myron must keep all of the good BBQ for the competitions.

Try Jim's Smokin Que in Blairsville, Georgia! Outstanding. Be prepared to wait on line. Great Brisket and ribs.

obviously, somebody isn't doing what they were supposed to do or all he has done has just sold an endorsement to use his name.  I can personally attest to eating his Q, cooked and prepared by him and it was some of the best I have ever eaten.

I went to the one in Braselton, Ga. once, yes once. Agree that the place sucked. Fox Brothers on the other hand is fantastic....

My son and his wife on their honeymoon went to Paula Dean's place in Charleston [edit: Savannah] and didn't even stay to eat.  Very "cafeteria-esque" and didn't look very good.

Do you mean Savannah? Wasn't aware of one in charleston. I ate at the one in Savannah. I thought it was ok. Not great, but ok.
