Bands, gaskets and cleaning!
i installed a new set of bands which has cured my misalignment and wobble issues. I took the advantage to put a new gasket on (thanks Comments

Tell me more about the new bands. My XL has a severe underbite.

I picked the bands up from my dealer. Man, what a difference. The dome is perfect now. It also got rid of that wobble I had when cooking at temp. I think the new band and the installation were pretty easy to do. I did it alone with an XL, and even took the dome off.
