Anyone have one of these? We bought one about a month ago and it quit working last night. We get an E1 code which means it doesn't think there's a pan on the burner. We are/have been using All-Clad skillet and saucepan on it and it's been working great. All of the sudden, it just quit detecting the pan. We bought it from Amazon so I guess it will be going back. The reviews are good for the most part. Just wondering if anyone else has had bad luck with one of these?

Chrisc does bbb have a lifetime return policy?  If so I would've gotten mine there lol.  For products like these I usually spend the extra and nominal fee to get the extended 24 month warranty

Not to wander to far OT from OP, we purchased a Duxtop when it was on sale at Amazon a year or two ago.  It works fine, and the price was right.  We use it quite a bit with our Lodge enamel CI to warm up vacuum packed leftovers.  One issue I was not aware of, however, is it has an auto shutoff safety feature that kicks in after a couple of hours.  Kind of annoying.

I have one of the originals, and use it at least 5 times per week.  Never a problem.  Love the thing.

For those thinking of buying one, I'll add that their website gives me an instant headache.  It's one of those "free" gifts type sites.  "But wait, there's more".  Normally I'd stay away from a company like this, but it can't be denied that they make the best reasonably priced portable units out there.  If I were currently looking for one, I'd buy from Amazon and I'd probably get the unit below.  It has 5 degree temp increments, larger burner, and the ability to hit 575 degrees (for deep frying).

If you have the receipt they will take anything back. I got my wife one of the expensive mechanical curling irons and it broke after 4 yrs and they gave us store credit for the full price. My wife bought a new one and the price had gone down so I got a tervis cup with the extra.

    This.

It's why I purchased from them. Either BBB or Costco for items like this.

Hm so apparently kohls is another such store with a killer return policy.  I guess my only fear there would be that they have an out of business sign up when I go to return something.
