Monday Got Spatched

About midmorning I decided that I wanted to do something with the "Premium" Cornish Game Hens we've had lurking in the deep freezer for like 6 months. Don't ask why they're "Premium" but, that's how they were labeled. @HuskerMaMa was working from home today so she pulled them out to begin defrosting them. I decided to Spatch these girls out.
Went with a dusting of The Garden Produce's "Garden BBQ" Rub and then a finish double sauce/glaze with A Frame Datil Pepper Sauce. Here's some shots of the cook. Yes, that's black coffee in my Yeti Lowball...don't judge With the meds I've been steering clear of booze...for now
Thanks for looking. Hope everyone had a great Monday.

Oops forgot the shot with the Yeti Lowball. Can't wait to try some bourbon in it. So far it's only seen coffee. It keeps it hot for a long time even w/out a top on it.

Those hens look delicious! You need to introduce that lowball to some good Kentucky brown liquor asap brother Husker!Sandy Springs & Dawsonville Ga

Looks great, cant believe you can fit 4 of them on a LBGE! Nice.Toronto, Canada LBGE

Banquet right there. And I have confirmed that the low-ball lower seal does not leak bourbon. Also, have not picked up any metallic taste from bourbon in the low-ball but then again I don't let it sit idle too long.
Glad the meds are finally winning the health battle.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. -
Nice birds and low ball.

Great looking birds, @NPHuskerFL. I haven't cooked game hens in a long time. Might be time to revisit them.Living the good life smoking and joking

@clweed Thx. There's a thread on my LBGE table. Short answer: it's a repurposed Pizza Hut Prep Table.
