I tried searching for my questions on this subject and didn't finding anything.  I am wondering if anyone has been to this event before.  I am trying to go this year and I would like to know how much it cost to get in.  Or how it works.  Do you pay for each sample.  I've been to a small competition here in Evansville and they charge for a "tasting cup" then you just went around with it.  I'm really excited to go and I just want to be prepared financially.

We live 10 minutes from there and go every year. There is no cost to get in, but you park at the high school and they shuttle people back and forth. If I remember right, it costs $10 to park. As far as the samples, if you wander around at the times they are judging, most will have a pan of the leftovers laid out. There are also vendors selling food but I have left stuffed every year just from leftovers.

If you plan to tour the distillery while you're in town, leave plenty of time. That weekend is their busiest time. It could take a couple of hours.

Friday evening is typically more relaxed to walk around. There is a parade of teams through the square. Most of the activities at the distillery, shops and around downtown will take place Saturday. In the morning the teams will focused on cooking and loosen up after turn ins.

It will also be very crowded, particularly traffic so plan extra travel time or drive in early.
