Very pretty table.
You edge glued boards for the top around the egg-hole. That's fine. But the trim around it that's perpendicular to the end grain won't expand with the edge glued boards...so expect some minor self-destruction on that glue joint as moisture and heat make those boards expand and contract.
The length of a board changes very little with temp and humidity, but the width of a board does.

That's gorgeous, very professional looking. Did you come up with the plans or are they available somewhere.LBGE - I like the hot stuff. The big dry San Joaquin Valley, Clovis, CA

Thank you all for the kind words!! I looked at every table on the internet I think or so my wife says! HaHA. I don't have a plan, I just looked at many then jut started winging it. Had to alter my thoughts a few times especially when I got the granite for free!!! They are scraps from a granite supplier here in town! My cedar was the light colored cedar, and I love the western red cedar and wanted that but couldn't get it here at the time. So i bought old masters cedar wiping stain to give it a reddish brown color. I used old masters spar marine varnish on the top coat!! That stuff is tough to put down it is thick and a little sticky! I hope that all the sealing and tight fitting joints that it will be water tight. I have a tarp to put over it if I'm not gonna use it for a while! I still have a few little details to work out but at least I can use it now!
