So it's a "live" streaming broadcast?LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL

Yep. And if you don't see it live, you can still see the video. @BigGreenCraig "periscoped" from Eggtoberfest earlier this morning. He attached it to a Tweet.NPHuskerFL said:So it's a "live" streaming broadcast?New Albany, Ohio -

That rotisserie they have is unreal. I don't understand how the flames don't just over take the egg..

Damn! I'm on here, Twitter, IG, FB, Flipagram, YouTube....just asked my bride aka @HuskerMaMa and she knew of it but, purposely didn't tell me about it. Huh...wonder why

I'm old school periscope. Doubt I will make the transition...
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint. -
lol, different strokes I suppose. It would be my worst nightmare to be on all that. I enjoy this forum, but have no desire to go beyond.NPHuskerFL said:Damn! One of the coolest things is the interaction. There's a ticker running of comments, questions, etc.NPHuskerFL said:Damn! I'm on here, Twitter, IG, FB, Flipagram, YouTube....just asked my bride aka @HuskerMaMa and she knew of it but, purposely didn't tell me about it. Huh...wonder why

Hmmm...that's a great idea to just keep an eye on things while away from the house. I don't have a wifi temp probe, but I can point a web cam at my setup.
Anyone use it for that?

I think for something like this one of the wi-fi cameras with built in remote viewing might be better. I think periscope uses the camera on your device so if you wanted to use it for this you would have to leave a device pointed at the egg.KiterTodd said:Hmmm...that's a great idea to just keep an eye on things while away from the house. Something like this:

Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg. -
Nope. Periscope has to be initiated from a mobile device, so it can't be used remotelyKiterTodd said:Hmmm...that's a great idea to just keep an eye on things while away from the house. I don't have a wifi temp probe, but I can point a web cam at my setup.

That's what I was thinking, actually. I have an extra mobile device I can use to stream from, and I could then monitor it from something else.SmokeyPitt said:

I have seen the other wifi setups, they don't look bad either. But I was thinking of what can I do with what I already own.

Here is my (cheap!) remote set up for when I have to leave for awhile during a long cook. A Maverick 732, an old Iphone, and "Manything" broadcasting software (free version). Absolutely no control, but I can log in on my regular Iphone from anywhere and see if all is as expected...

Hmmm ... this article ( http://www.cnn.com/2015/10/13/us/woman-live-streams-drunk-driving/ ) might give some Friday night cooks new meaning. BTW ... the woman is an idiot!

Just watched my first periscope broadcast: the BMW M2 reveal. Very interesting concept. (The app - not the car). I can already see a problem with sifting through all the garbage being broadcast to find something interesting.--------------------------------------------------
Burning lump in Downingtown, PA or diesel in Cape May, NJ.
