First Pizza
I have had the egg for about 2 months now. As instructed, my first few cooks were done at low temps. So now that we have achieved that, it was time for a pizza. And was it ever good! Dough was done in bread maker. and the sauce was from scratch. The result was excellent! my wife said we have no reason to ever buy another pizza!

I bet it won't be your last.

How many did you end up making? Looks real good especially for your first set of pies. What temp did you do these first ones at? Make certain once your end has cooled completely to give the band hardware a look see. You may need to give them an extra turn or two because higher temps will cause flex in the bands. It's just a precautionary thing to do. EnjoyLBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL

Interested in any sauce / dough recipes you are willing to share. I love cooking pizza on my egg and am always looking for ways to improve it.
Currently, I make everything from scratch... My dough recipe is from http://www.theprairiehomestead.com/2011/04/our-most-favorite-pizza-crust-ever.html . I make a sauce with several variations, the only consistent item being San Marzano style tomatoes. -
i plan on cooking a pizza this weekend - i will follow your temperature setting you used. I am a newbie to the BGE - just bought it last month - xlarge

@DJHitch what setup are you using? Looks really simple, I haven't tried a pie yet because I don't have a stone,
any recomendations on how to set up the egg for a pizza cook? -

But you don't 'need' a stone, the kids do not like the crisp crust from the stone so sometimes i just us a pizza pan.Dave
