Quick and easy fix for a floppy lower vent on the MM

One of the first thing I noticed when I got the MM a couple of months ago was how floppy and loose the lower vent was.
I removed the bolt on right side of the lower vent to remove the vent cover. I then used pliers to put small bends on the two right side corners towards the outside-facing side of the cover. Then simply replaced it back. The material is thin so not a lot of force is needed to bend the corners. The bends will minimize the slop and force the cover toward egg in the closed position.
Hope this helps anyone with a floppy vent cover.

PS - my initial thought was to place the cover behind the screen, but the cover tended to rub against the screen and loosen the screen on the edges.

Made this simple mod to my Mini Max tonight. Cooked some chicken spiedies and had the Egg going at 350 or so. Once I shut it down, it cooled down much faster than usual. This mod helped seal the draft door and worked better than expected. Thanks for the tip @jollygreenegg !

Thanks @NPHuskerFL . I really like it. I had a canopy up in that pic so the XL was just off to the right. I like the mobility. There's more than enough table surface for everything I need.
One thing I would like to find is somewhere to place dirty grates and platesetters while I'm getting the Eggs started or cleaning. Right now I place them on top of my firepit that sits on the patio as well.
The bin on the left has lump in it and the bin on the right has lump and tools.
I ordered the BGE dome cover for the Mini Max and a cover from the cover store for the table. So far everything has worked out really well.
Sometimes having the Egg(s) going and sitting in the patio with the stereo on and a cold beer in hand is better than being on vacation. Totally relaxing.
Cheers!Steve

Same here. I also put a stainless lock washer on the daisy wheel kind of snug. Keeps it in place when you open the the egg.

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!
