My lovely wife is at class tonight so I seared another ribeeye. 3 mins sear and flipped for 2. Then shut the vents down to the minimum for 2 minutes. Perfect medium rare!Comments

What was the seasoning?

Looks good man!
Be careful with shutting the vents down. That is really a horrible technique that BGE should be ashamed for endorsing. It is an easy way to introduce bad smoke to a very expensive cut of meat.Just a hack that makes some $hitty BBQ.... -

I kept the upper and lower vents slightly open to allow some airflow based on your advice in a previous post. I did not taste any bad smoke. If anything I will use less salt next time.cazzy said:Looks good man!

Ha! The steak looks tasty, but reminds me of the pop tart that was eaten to be designed like a pistol.
Any road will take you there if you don't know where you're going.
