The greatest barrier against all wisdom, the stronghold against knowledge itself, is the single thought, in ones mind, that they already have it all figured out.
My granite guy wanted $500 to make a top, so I ended up buying a pre-formed 10' long counter top at the local lumber yard. They had a "parking lot" sale to get rid of old inventory, and they sold it to me for $5 cash! I cross cut it into 2-5' pieces, ripped them to width, then glued together (with biscuits). I was only out $5 if it didn't work, but it turned out OK. Picture of frame before I installed top. I put additional stringers under the aluminum deck plate to support weight of egg.
It's not powder coated. Sprayed with Rustoleum primer and gloss black. This won't be left outside. I roll it out of the shop when cooking, and back inside with done. Will be easy to add a drawer when I get some more shop time.
Yes I did the welding and fabrication. You can see the plasma and wire welder on the cart in the background. I do a lot of metal fabrication in my home shop during the summer, and woodworking throughout the winter months (between my regular utility job). Not to mention all the cooking during the week and weekends!
Whoa, that looks amazing. Looks like it will survive WW3 as well. How much do you think something like that would retail for ... my guess is, it would cost a pretty penny!

That table went to my neighbors house, just down the block. He actually pushed it down the street and into his backyard. I charged him $300 for it, and talked him into buying an XL at the local dealer to put in it. He loves cooking on the XL, and sold his 3 Treager pellet grills.
I built this one and sold it to @BUFFALOMOOSE here on the forum. I think I charged him $150, and he paid shipping. I strapped it to a pallet and shipped to his house a few years back.
I also build a nice reverse flow for a buddy.
I sold all my welders and plasma equipment, due to 3 retina detachments. Doctor told me to quit welding!

WHAAAATTTT?? $300?? You could have got a lot more for it ... heck BGE charges an arm and a leg for their Acacia table, and that one you made is MUCH better quality.

He owns an oil company, and I leased part of his facility to store steel power line towers during construction phases. So we did business and drank beer together! I sold quite a few Eggs for my dealer. People came over to my shop to drink beer, and there was something cooking on my egg. Of course they got samples….and they were “hooked”!

@littlerascal56 Welcome to the forum.
Now that's a table! Well done, you've got skills.
What's the top made out of? Did it crack, or did you make it two pieces to get the egg in?
Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.
