Came over from the dark side of Primo and joined the Egghead Nation! No more built-in for me, the next move and my Egg and table come with me!

Welcome, nice looking setup, which primo did you have, my brother in law has the oval XL and it is a nice setup. Any reason you chose the egg over another primo?

Welcome.

Looks good. Do check out one thing though. When you have a cook going, open the bottom doors and check out the temperature of the shelf on which the egg is setting ... be careful that you don't burn yourself. At the very least, it will help you decide what to/not to store in the bottom cabinet. The reason I mention it is that I flinched and added a table nest to my Challenger/egg combination.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll check it out

feef606, had the XL and liked the oval shape but seems that the Egg is easier to get up to temp. In less than 3 years the metal trim, nuts, bolts were rusted.

pgprescott said:We provide a table nest with every challenger cart we sell. I'm a believer in the air gap. I don't want someone not using the table nest on a cart we sell. They say you don't need one, hogwash.
You have a trailer hitch cart in your shop don't you? If so, look at the "D-seal" around the egg opening. That seal (or one like it) will fit around the standard cart to fill up the increased gap made by adding a table nest. Jada, at Challenger, worked with me to add it to my order.

I am always curious what people pay for these carts? The ones sold at our local shop are insanely expensiveXLBGE, MMBGE, CyberQ

I paid $873 plus $150 shipping to North Dakota where I picked it up to bring into Canada. I have the exact same table but in Grey.

@Tspud1 ... a price close to that might still be available. In talking to the factory, I found out that if you live miles and miles from a dealer, they will sell directly to you ... at a reduced price. If you have a dealer nearby, then they push you to buy through the dealer.

Your right it is 2 years old. At the time they were going for $1300-1500 that other guys were posting on this forum.
Im sure the differences would still be relevant.
