 My yard looks more like a non-directional carpet. For years I have followed a routine I developed using 4 directions so there is no distinguishable pattern. Think of it like a clock face:
Week 1 : I mow 8 to 2
Week 2 : I mow 11 to 5
Week 3 : I mow 9 to 3
Week 4 : I mow 12 to 6
