Map/p torch head with cheap propane- thanks Carolina Q

Carolina Q mentioned that you can use a Map/pro torch head like a Bernzomatic TS8000 with regular propane. My yellow canister was empty so I grabbed a cheap green Coleman from my camping box. It worked just fine. Honestly I couldn't really tell a difference between the propane and the map/pro gas.
Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

At a former employer we used map gas to melt gold gaskets. We ran out and started using propane instead with very similar results. I think it can handle wood of any sort

I've been using propane. I switched out the canisters when I made some creme brûlée a while back and have been too lazy to switch back again. No problems here with the propane.
Now on can these small propane canisters be refilled?Augusta, GA

That is a good question. It looks like they do make refill adapters so you can refill them from a 20 lb tank.chrisc133 said:I've been using propane.
