Had a little fun today experimenting with a homemade coffee rub on this 17lb prime packer! I've said it before and I'll say it again...Coffee+Beef = Perfection.

@Georgiaspaniel How does the coffee rub taste? I've never used it. Most of the brisket I've seen cooked on bbq comp shows use regular bbq rub. I'm wanting to try my first brisket soon, just trying to learn a little.

@feef706 The coffee rub is great! It adds an underlying flavor that accents the beef. It's gotten to the point that I use it on all beef I cook, lol

Looks great! I really like coffee rub as well. Would you mind sharing ypur recipe?
I have been using Trader Joes coffee rub and I really like it. It was awesome on pork tenderloin as well as beef.
Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg. -

I use Dizzy Pig's Red Eye Express for my Briskets and Steaks. The flavor of the coffee rub does something to the beef that makes it delicious. I don't even like coffee, lol.XL, Large, Medium, and Mini Max
