I dig Dizzy Pig.   Dizzy Dust and Dizzy Dust Coarse for pork, Raging River for Salmon and Tsunami Spin for chicken are our favorites.  I buy it by the quart.

  • Dizzy PIg's DIzzy Dust for pork, Plowboys Yardbird for chicken and Meat Church Holy Cow for beef. And everything that I tried from Oakridge is good.

The Holy Cow really blew me away, simply amazing on brisket.

I'm enjoying Meat Church rubs right now.  Going through my Honey Hog and Honey Hog Hot rubs way too fast.  Also have their Holy Cow rub and Season All rubs as well.  When I re-order I'll add some Bacon BBQ and Deez Nuts rub as well.  I've really enjoyed them.

I absolutely love my baby back ribs with Honey Hog for the rub and Blues Hog Smokey Mtn as the sauce.  Perfect combo for me.
I have to comment on OakRidge rubs as well. Very happy with them.  Grilled some steak kabobs for dinner last night and the Santa Maria steak seasoning was amazing on both the steak and the veggies.  Tasted great!

Dizzy Dust still #1 all purpose rub for me.  Thought Oakridge Sampler was decent.  For ribs & pulled pork . . I got an awesome local spice shop that sells rub called "Smoke Spice & Everything Nice" . . . soo good!  Here is link if somebody wants to buy online:  http://www.northmarketspices.com/shop-2/?slug=product_info&products_id=23

  • Both oak ridge and dizzy pig have samplers you can order.

I definitely recommend the oak ridge sampler:
    https://www.oakridgebbq.com/shop/ultimate-value-sample-rub-pack/

at $5 it is a no brainer (includes shipping).  I just ordered another one because I want to try some new stuff they added.

How much coverage could I expect to get out of those sample packs? The oak ridge ones say 1oz packs of each. How much meat can I effectively rub down with that much rub? Are the Dizzy samples the same size?

Personally I've tried many I love but to get where you really want to be ya gotta make yer own. My Let Daddy Rub Ya is my go to for anything. 17 spices and took me a year to perfect.  Its my base on everything and I have 1 single addition for different types of meats. Just start with the basic and add to taste...it'll take a long time to get it where ya want as ya gotta cook it to taste it. When there, the heavens will open up, angels will sing and you likely have to seek medical attention as you'll have that 4 hr. symptom that's cautionary on the viagra commercials.

I would much rather be able to say I was glad I did than wished I had........
