cedar planked salmon
Some pics from tonights cook. I did a cedar planked salmon with some sauteed spinach and rice. My wife prepped the salmon with a mayo, dill and garlic mix with lemon slices on top. I soaked the board for about an hour prior, and then had some issues with some small lump from the bottom of the bag and it took a while to get the egg up to 375. Eventually got it there and I put the salmon on for about 20 min and pulled it off when it hit an internal temp of 135. It turned out delicious and we were extremely satisfied for our first seafood cook on the egg. What are your thoughts on reusing the plank for another cook, and if so how did you clean it/would you recommend avoiding using soap when cleaning?

Looks and sounds delicious. Great cook. Really like the candlelight touch.
I'm sure the planks are reusable if they're not toast from the fire. People reuse cutting boards. I wouldn't use soap and water. Maybe a good scrub with just water.Steven
