Grilling hamburgers on BGE today for the first time. Any good recipes or tips?

I like Montreal Steak seasoning, sometimes just S&P - don't over cook, don't under cook and have fun. (I do mine at ~5-600 just like I do my steaks) My first burger cooks years ago, I would do them a bit slower a ~4-450. YMMV

Thanks @onedbguru I have some Montreal Steak Seasoning in the cabinet.

A couple of tips I use. I chop up an onion an mix it into the beef before I make patties and I pinch a small hole in the center of the patty like a donut to cook more evenly.

I don't mix my own burgers yet but the rest of the tips will help out a lot:

I like to smoke my burgers. I do them at 200-225 for 30 minutes, then flip and after another 25-30 they are typically right around 125-130 degrees IT. Then I either sear in CI or with a blow torch. I love the smoke flavor and they are very juicy.

If you get anything better than 80/20, chop up some bacon and mix it into the ground beef.
Also, do you have cast iron grid or a CI pan? If so, try cooking high in the done or indirect till 130. Then pull off and let rest while you open everything up and get it ripping.... Seat on the cast iron grate or in the cast iron pan.LBGE since 2014

I like just a splash of Worcestershire Sauce before the salt and pepper.John in the Willamette Valley of Oregon

Thanks for the tips! We mixed Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper and some hot sauce. Read somewhere to put a little square of butter in the center of the burger so we did that too. They were really good. Loved the smoked flavor from the BGE!
