So Simple Yet So Dang Good - I love these eggs

Very simple meal tonight.  My wife's son brought over 5 really nice Ribeyes.  I cooked corn in the husk and baked white and sweet potatoes raised direct first.  Then when they were just short of being ready, wrapped them in foil and put them in a 175 degree oven just to stay warm.  Cranked the temp up to 550 for the steaks and took out the raised grate. They were rubbed with Lane's Ancho Expresso Rub and left to set for an hour.  I truly enjoy this rub.  This is a little short on pics because I was in too much of hurry to eat.

I never really knew what I was missing having been a gasser for my whole life.  Buying these two eggs has changed my life and each time I can't wait to cook on it or try something new. The gasser has been retired and I can't think of a time when I will be using it again.  But it is just too new and in too good of a shape to trash it.

My wife's son who has been in the restaurant business for 30 years has eaten here a few times and says he will be an Egghead very soon.  It was his idea to bring the steaks over because he had tried them here once before.  Tonight he asked me to pick him up a few bottles of the Lanes next time I go to Wassi's.  Seems as if the whole family will be egging very soon.

I know I have said this before, but I want to thank all of you for making me welcome here and sharing so many tips and ideas.

Well that right there is why we share. Once you get an egg down you wonder how you cooked without one.

@Sonny3 That's good looking grub. I agree with your sentiments about the egg. Keep posting.

@Sonny3 your comment about not knowing what you were missing is so true. As a retailer, even I went through this experience. Many people just don't know why they're missing. Great post.
