Cutting a Brisket in half

Anybody ever cut a brisket in half, use two different rubs, and smoke at the same time?

Once, fat cap up on one half and down on the other.  Thought fat cap up was better.
I do this a lot (only that once with a briskie): two smaller meatloaves (one on the grid, one in an aluminum tray), cornstarch and different rubs on half the chicken, etc.  Fun to try different things and have the results there side by side.

Never have done it but if you split along the point/flat seam you should have two good hunks of beef to work with.  Of course the point will end up just fine due to the high fat content.  The flat is a bit more of a stand-alone challenge but go for it...

I wouldn't cut it in half and do it myself, I would do 2 separate briskets. I would be afraid to do say flat vs point etc.
