Nice fish nuggets there, and a great way to season the wok!

    Thanks.

DeMarco Murray. Took a gamble. Hopefully he'll stay healthy and adjust to the new team.

I like DeMarco a lot but I hope he sucks this year :)  Especially when they're playing the Cowboys

  • How do you keep the oil from getting too hot with the top open? Or are you able to close it? Either way, looks pretty awesome.

Once the fire was burning good, I shut the bottom vent and had the woo set in the notches of the fire ring so it would restrict as much air as possible. I did make sure I could close the lid in case the oil ignited. I had the oil ignite the first time I deep fried fish using a CI skillet and swore I wouldn't deep fry in the egg again. Well, a grease fire on the egg is better than a grease fire in the kitchen. So I tried it again and all went well. I used peanut oil and it stayed at about 375° per the ThermoPop.

First time deep frying in the wok, so above information could of been a fluke or lucky all went well.
