Half a Tri-Tip on the Mini With Reverse Sear

I cut a tri-tip in half because I didn't want to eat it for a week. I coated it with oil and used a tri-tip seasoning. I know the photo's blurry--I was on the phone with the other hand.

The seasoning on the potato is Penzey's Turkish seasoning. YUM!

It cooked at 300° on the Mini Woo till the IT was 115°. I pulled off the Woo and the steak, and put the grid on the fire ring, opened the vents, closed the lid, and at about 600° I put on the steak. I never time anything, just use woman's intuition.

The seasoning on the potato is Penzey's Turkish seasoning. YUM!

Excellent.
Good idea on cutting it in half. I need to do that to prevent overeating. Tri-tip is like crack to me and I overeat every time. Steven

Hey, it's not a steak. It's a roast. What was I thinking?Judy in San Diego
