We have a new BGE. Can we use this as a cold smoker to make bacon? Any tips are greatly appreciated.

    Darin,
The short answer is "no", due to the temperature needed to keep the smoking wood smoldering.[p]What some folks have done is build the fire in one BGE (at the lowest possible temp, of course), and route the smoke through flex tubing to a second BGE.[p]Sorry

    Darin,
you can't get temps low enough in the egg for that...
but you could use it as a source for the smoke, and instead of venting out the top into air, you could use a drier hose (metal) and direct the smoke into a box fitted out to hang the bacon...[p]
