Pork Butt Brine
Hey Eggheads. Anyone know a good brine recipe for pork butts? I have always used a dry rub but I heard some talk last weekend about using a brine. Any thoughts.

I have used the Chris Lilly injection. It adds moisture and flavor. I have tried cooking a pork butt with and without the injection. I prefer the injection.http://www.epicurious.com/archive/blogs/editor/2014/06/chris-lillys-perfect-pork-bbq.html

I have gotten great results with Alton Brown's brine and dry rub. Especially like it with 4-6# butts. Try it, you'll like it! http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/pulled-pork-recipe.html

I've only injected before. Don't do it often however. Usually just rub and cook. Waiting for your results.
