Help with my XL BGE grate setups

Sorry if this has been discussed ad nauseum but I'm looking at the ceramic grill store website and also considering other alternatives and want to make sure I'm getting what I need.  I've owned my XL BGE for about 6 months now and have just the egg and plate setter that came with the package.

Direct and indirect grilling is job #1 for my egg and I feel like I'm good with my current setup.  I can create dual zones and control temps great.  Job #2 is smoking briskets/butts/ribs.  I've done a few longer smokes and I'm unhappy with how close the drip pan is to the meat.  There's not enough air flow and the area directly above the drip pan doesn't brown like the rest of the meat.  It seems like the grate needs to be higher.

I'd also like to cook pizza and breads from time to time - I do not currently own a pizza stone.  Wok cooking would be cool too but it's pretty far down on the priority list.  Same with multi-level smoking.

So...should I buy a setup from the ceramic grill store and if so which setup would best suit my needs?  Or should I buy a second grate and some bolts to make a higher grate for smoking and then just buy a BGE pizza stone?  I don't mind spending the money on a Ceramic Grill Store setup if it will produce better results.

I have an XL BGE and I use a woo and a pizze stone as my indirect setup. I use a shallow drip pan that I got from CGS. With a good pair of welding gloves and a Third Hand from Third Eye, it's easy to go from indirect to direct.

Call Tom at CGS & he will help you out. But he won't try to oversell you things that you don't need.

Not to get technical, but according to chemistry alcohol is a solution...

I'm new to the XL BGE and bought the Adjustable Rig Combo from CGS right off the bat, very happy with it and very versatile with what you have mentioned and you can make the amount of air flow space you want.
