The plan is something heavier next. Either cleaver or something close.
Then 3 more paring knives like above to double as steak knivesBoom -
Those are beautiful; really gorgeous tools to work with. Where did you acquire these?
Thanks for posting.

Nice! Love the metal work.
I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

A guy makes them. Bushkill Blades. I also have two skinners I got from him. His queue is closed now but he will be doing another run of outdoor knives soon I thinkBlack_Badger said:Those are beautiful; really gorgeous tools to work with. Where did you acquire these?

O.K. I officially hate you. My eyes are greener than my Eggs.
So, having said that, care to share the name of the maker, and how you got it?
How long is the back log?

Dan is the craftsman. Bushkill Blades. His website is not accurate but can email him at bushkillblades@gmail.com and say Fanboy sent you. If you have Instagram he post a lot of stuff there. http://instagram.com/bushkillblades
He even has a free knife giveaway going on on his IG as well.
Like mentioned this is 4th knife I've ordered. Next time queue opens up I have couple more in getting. At least one member on this site got a badass knife from him too.
He does the handles, heat treat, grinding, etc all himself in-house. Does kitchen knives and field knives and skinners and EDC knives. And he expects his knives to be worked.
Great guyBoom -

Thanks. I love that it matches. Going to have full kitchen set eventually. Should see some of his other handles. I don't think I've seen handles as nice as his. Has a blue one that'll really impress4Runner said:Very nice.Boom -

Anyone make a CPM S30V or S90V chef knife? I love my EDC which is S30V. Scary sharp, stays that way.

I think he mostly uses high carbon steel and damascus but not 100%. My edc is S35VN. Not the easiest to sharpen but keeps a working edge for a long time.nolaegghead said:Anyone make a CPM S30V or S90V chef knife? I love my EDC which is S30V. Scary sharp, stays that way.Boom -

@FanOfFanboys - Sun afternoon one of my sons got his first buck ever. I small but nice racked 8pt. Full velvet too. All 10 boys were flying high as they watched the processor make the old deer necklace and then dumped the blood bucked over his head. He was a mess! One of the best night's of my life.
Good deal for your stepdad.....how much did it weigh?Joe - I'm a reformed gasser-holic aka 4Runner Columbia, SC Wonderful BGE Resource Site: http://www.nakedwhiz.com/ceramicfaq.htm and http://www.nibblemethis.com/ and http://playingwithfireandsmoke.blogspot.com/2006/02/recipes.html
