Very nice. Not sure if anyone has told you this or not, but your egg is way too clean.Steven

They look great. Did you like them?Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

they were well cooked but too much smoke for me. Next time, one wood, not hickory. Husband loved them and agreed on smoke. heard there is hickory in the charcoal so the hickory overpowered it for my taste. any suggestions welcome.. thxBGE Large and MiniMax, Napolean 500. Obsessed with rotisserie.

Try pecan and/or a fruit like apple, cherry or peach. Much more mild smoke.

1-3 large chunks for a long cook like that is plenty for my family - along with a neutral lump like Rockwood.

Those look pretty good form here. I'm too lazy to wrap and all that stuff, so i just let 'em ride nekkid.
As suggested above try fruit woods. Milder flavor, that goes well with pork.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX. -
