Brisket - 4lb Denver Cut x2 vs 8lb "normal" brisket?

So my local butcher only has a 4lb Denver Cut Brisket.  He said he can tie them together and cook / smoke the same.  First time I'm cooking a brisket, and can't find much on the Denver Cut and also not sure how two 4lb pieces will cook either separate or tied together.  Help ;)
