I am thrilled to be a new Egg owner and have yet to use my Large Big Green Egg. I decided to build a table to house the egg and would like to share the design and results. The concept was derived from a shop work bench plan and sized to hold the egg. The frame is cyprus and the shelving is white oak. I had two pieces of granite (12"X12" and 14"X14") cut for inserts. As you will see I added two plastic bins for charcoal and smoking chips. The photos attached are the table not yet 100% completed. I am adding a towel rack, some hooks and of course a bottle opener. These accessories will be added once I have added the finish to the wood. Thanks for allowing me to share on the forum!! I will post additional photos once the project is 100%.."

great table and skill set. Welcome aboard and enjoy the journey.
An observation-make sure you have an air gap between your BGE and paver/stone. There have been too many stories here of the heat from non-air gapped BGE's resulting in a table fire.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. -
Looks great man! only thing I could see that might be a problem is removing ashes from the bottom vent. With your paver or marble whatever that is recessed in the wood instead of above, may cause trouble but other than that love the layoutLarge BGE | Gainesville, GA
Cooking is like love. It should be entered into with abandon or not at all. -

Thanks all for the compliments and input. My egg will be resting in a table nest once I complete the project. I will post the photos when I am done.
