OT Pecan Oil versus EVOO

Found some yesterday at a local specialty shop.   Being southern, all things pecan are good.   Planning to try it as a substitute to EVOO.  Any one heard of it or any experience with it?

Haven't used pecan oil, but have used walnut in various salads and stews. Very noticeable good flavor. Thicker than any EVOO I've used, and a little goes a long way. The salads needed more tossing for a good coat.

i don't use it as a replacement for olive oil in cooking, but in dressings or as a finishing oil it is great.

On a similar note, unrefined, unfiltered peanut oil makes awesome popcorn.  Haven't tried it on the egg yet.  Popping corn is a good way to season a cast iron Dutch oven.  Get a good hot fire and put the Dutch oven right on the coals.
