Reward Brisket

So I spent all weekend reworking our backyard - we moved a 10x10 deck that had our outdoor dining table to the other side of the yard so the grills could go on it, and built a 12x16 deck for the table and a couple of new chairs to extend the seating area under our covered porch.

And yes, the deck is really more of a platform.

After that I decided we deserved a reward (and my parents came down from Maine with our daughter) - so brisket it was.  I got a 12 lb packer, trimmed and got it coated with Oakridge Black Ops Brisket rub.  It went on about 9:30 last night, with lots of Acadian Oak. I pulled around 11:20 this morning and FTCd until about 5:30.
