First Mini Max Cook

Getting ready to get this sucker up to temp to ensure hardware tightens down properly for the inaugural cook on my new Mini Max. Spent some cash on some filets for my grandpas 77th bday before heading from Georgia back to Indiana tomorrow.

Happy Birthday to Grandpa! Still saving to get my MM ... Goodluck!!I've slow smoked and eaten so much pork, I'm legally recognized as being part swine - Chatsworth Ca.

Enjoy it! It's a cooking machine. I'm still on the temp control learning curve with mine. Seems to get really hot and like it!

@theyolksonyou .. hey brother, how big of a pork butt do you think will fit in the MM? TimI've slow smoked and eaten so much pork, I'm legally recognized as being part swine - Chatsworth Ca.

I put a 7# in no problem. It was loose and should have been tied up. I'd say 10 would be pushing it.

Hey @theyolksonyou .. you say the MM likes it hot, do you think a bbq controller like a Bbq Guru could hold the temp @ 225 for a long l&S?I've slow smoked and eaten so much pork, I'm legally recognized as being part swine - Chatsworth Ca.

Coming along nicely. For reference each filet is approximately 8oz.

Also for those who don't have a Thermapen...I'm without mine for this cook and miss it terribly.
-
Screwed my sear up...didn't let my iron skillet get hot enough before putting steaks in...that's what I get for being hungry.

Happy 77th Birthday Grandpa! That looks like a Birthday dinner that is coming together nicely. Enjoy.LBGE | DigiQ | SW Cap | KAB | iGrill2 | CI PS | PSWoo2 | HQ Grid | Extender

Cook was fantastic. Love the MM. Don't be fooled...sucker is still heavy. Portable, but heavy. As others have stated, the MM likes it hot and it gets that way in a hurry.
