Prep and storage table...

I have my XL in a nest with side tables. Eventually, I'm going to put it all in a built outdoor kitchen, so I didn't want to build a table specifically to hold the egg, but at the same time, I did want to have a table for some prep work and to store things like the pizza stone when I'm not using it.

It's not 100% done yet, but I thought I'd share the preliminary pictures, and I can post pics once it is done - and happy to share details of the plans that I essentially repurposed from online. (Remaining steps - (1) cutting some boards around the legs so that the bottom is completely covered and you won't see the frame, (2) putting in some accessory hooks / paper towel bar, and (3) staining and finishing it.)

Looks good. Just a comment on the paper towel holder. Make sure you have one with some sort of arm to keep the paper towel from blowing off the roll, otherwise, that's exactly what it will do.

Well, "spa-Peggy" is kind of like spaghetti. I'm not sure what Peggy does different, if anything. But it's the one dish she's kind of made her own.

Very nice.  I'm surprised we dont hear more about prep tables.  It's nice to to spread out.

I agree. I saw lots of built-in options, but I think the prep table is actually more useful, and you don't have to worry about the egg's heat, the swivels, or doing any more advanced things like cutting a circular hole.

I'm not a woodworker at all, and this little table required nothing more than straight cuts. The only tricky thing is that I will need a jigsaw to finish the boards on the bottom, but you could even skip that if you wanted to avoid it.

Here is the finished table in place next to my egg. Perfect temporary solution for under $150 in wood and materials, and it easily holds all my XL accessories including the huge pizza stone.
