Anyone seen or created an ash tray yet? I'm cheap so I've made one out if a baking sheet.

Interesting! I just shop vac mine out when it needs it but I can see where that might be handy.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------Well, "spa-Peggy" is kind of like spaghetti. I'm not sure what Peggy does different, if anything. But it's the one dish she's kind of made her own.____________________Aurora, Ontario, Canada

Clever, a Kick Ash Disk. How much air flow are you blocking? Did your vent settings change? Or max temp? I'll bet it would work reasonably well without the sidewalls, just a flat disk lifted slowly. You'd leave some ash behind, but probably not much.
I just use the ash tool every 3-4 cooks. I never have to remove any partially burned lump or the charcoal grate. I think I vacuumed twice in nearly 6 years.I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

It hasn't restricted any air flow as of yet. Just finished making one for the MiniMax too. Using the kick ash basket and this ash tray makes clean up very easy without having to drag out a vacuum.
