Wings and Legs

Nothin' fancy last night. We already had some wings in the freezer, but not enough, so I asked Mrs. G to get some more. She came back from the store and said they were out and she got legs instead. Oh well.
Served the wings up with some basic Buffalo sauce, left the legs nekid. Forgot to slice up some celery and just had some fresh green beans that Mrs. G steamed. No tots were harmed in the making or devouring of this meal. Sorry for the poor cell phone pics and lack of a plated pic. I was hungry and forgot.
Was actually a good meal for me. Less than two hours later, and even with a few beers, my blood sugar was 108!! Had I cooked some French fries or tots, I'm sure it would have spiked.

Looks great. Pretty much shows that chicken wings and legs (and beer) are healthy.

Yep. It was only Miller Light, though. I did a little Google Kung Fu and looked to see what beers had what calories and carbs. And ABV. Michelob Ultra is one of the best, and its ok, but the store had Miller Light on sale yesterday. A case of tallboys for $19! Most of it will be taken to the ranch next weekend for day drinking. At 96 calories and 3.2 carbs, that's not too bad for a diabetic. Ultra is 95 and 2.6. Shiner Light is 120 and 9. Coors Light is 102 and 5 and Bud Light is 110 and 6.6. So carb wise I can have 2 Miller Lights to 1 Bud Light. Lol. Still crappy beer, but oh well. Course, I probably shouldn't be drinking,but that's not gonna happen.

True, the boss is coming over for dinner tonight for wings and legs. That's why I clicked on this thread. The boss is also a good friend although we don't hang out that often. But he likes good bourbon and will be at the house before the sun sets. So I guess I will commence to day drinking a little later.
