Building a table for my new XL need some dimensions

I added 5" casters today. It made the table way too tall. So I took them off and cut about 3" off the legs. That should help a lot.XL and Mini

Thanks. I've gotten a lot of good info from this forum too. I didn't get to work on it much tonight. We are building a house and have a lot going on. But I did get the braces for the top installed. Hopefully I'll get the top on tomorrow.XL and Mini

Wow!

RH 'overhang' provides workspace and is a 'design element'. I'm starting the build on what I call the 'egg crate' so I will have storage space. NOTHING gets stored in / on the table. The design has room for ALL the extra ceramic pieces, charcoal, gloves, starter stuff, smoking wood and the ash tool. I don't think I can ALSO make it a Sit-On piece. Too tall at 26" or 27" counting casters.
You can't see it well, but the table top is ALTERNATING pieces of 1x4 and 1x6 which are 3 1/2" and 5 1/2" respectively. Putting them in the right order with a 1/4" gap between 'em results in a table top exactly 32" in width. Fine for an XL. A view from UNDERNEATH the lower level. -
That's cool. Post some pics of the crate when u get it built.XL and Mini

Cleaning my garage NOW. Going to pick up a Craiglist stand for my new miter saw (a cheap one) That and a router is pretty much all I'll need. OH! That and a borrowed Craig Jig tool for pocket holes.
-
Craiglist stand for miter saw was a bust. ordered up from Amazon. Garage NEARLY clean. Pulled bench from wall and vacuumed a decade PLUS of spider webs, dust / dirt and assorted XXX.
mounted an outlet strip, too, and rerouted a bunch of wires.
By the time my stand gets here, I'll be READY to go. -
FWIW, I usually run my miter saw on the ground. Easier for long pieces.
