Tri-Tip Sunday, and grilled squash.

Was working on my house most of today, installing casing, baseboards, paint prep.
Needed a break, and some red meat. I went to RD the other day and got another cryopack of Superior Angus Tri-Tips, had one thawed for just such an occasion.
Coated it liberally with Peppered Cow Rub. Coated the squash with DP Pineapple head.
On the egg at 350F,raised direct, flipped once, and before I had a chance to sear, or char, I had reached internal of 125+.
I pulled and rested momentarily before slicing, it came out moist, tender, and flavorful. I was scared for a sec it was overdone, but look at the pics, and you be the judge.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER -
Great article. I can't imagine managing that many tri-tips at once. That pic of the pit was pretty cool. Thanks for sharing the link.Legume said:Damn nice looking Anton.
