My First EggFest - A Day In Pictures

What an experience! I don't know anyone other than myself who actually owns an egg ... all in all, I'd say some three to four hundred people showed up to the SoCal Egg Fest ..

I actually went by myself and no problems mingling and making new friends. The headliner of the Egg fest was Food Network star Linky Marais .. wow is she attractive.

I also met a father & son cooking team who I spent quite a bit of time chatting with. The day started out very foggy and was help at the Upland Airport. Upon entering, I could smell all the food being cooked. It smelled incredible!

I think the highlight of the fest other than hanging out with so many 'like minded' people was that I won two raffle drawings, including a Harry Soo Slap Ya Daddy BBQ School prize!

What a great day, I can hardly wait til next year!

It's so fun meeting other eggers. We share a passion for good food and it just makes the conversation so easy.

June Gloom...I imagine attending an Eggfest wasn't all that gloomy. Sounds like good times. One of these days I'll attend an Eggfest. Hopefully it cleared enough to see Mt. Baldy. Please share your experiences from the BBQ school. That kid in the last pic has a pretty cool looking hat. Lol

Yep. It's funny, when I was a kid living in that area (a few blocks from the eggfest) I was a Reds fan. Pete Rose and Johnny Bench had more influence than Steve Garvey or Davey Lopes. That is until Fernandomania happened. Anyway, hopefully some more people from the forum attended the SoCal Eggfest and posts pics.

@SoCalTim, did you buy any new toys at the fest?

@stemc33  ... there weren't really any deals to be had, yes they were giving 10% off all BGE product, but I noticed on the price sheet the prices were higher than list. The last picture of the kid in the Dodger hat, was the father - son team. They were such nice people.
