How to prepare and cook Lobster Tails?
My question here is to split or not to split. Getting conflicting advice on whether to split the top of the shell or to split the clear membrane on the bottom or just leave well enough alone and grill that way.
Also what temp and time to cook? I picked up some fresh tails today around 6oz each.

There are all sorts of ways to go about it. One simple way is to run a Kabob skewer through the tail to keep it flat and cut the hard shell on top with kitchen shears. I'd cook indirect around 350. Coat the tails with a compound butter towards the end of the cook and enjoy the deliciousness.
Here is a link with some photos of the technique I outlined above. Good luck! (Now you've made me want lobster)
